Guided by shared values, and by D’Arcy McGee’s vision for an inclusive and tolerant society, this is a forum where academics, artists, political and industry leaders can come together, to discuss common challenges and to explore shared opportunities.

●      Formal events - lectures, talks, debates, workshops, discussions
●      Cultural events - concerts, drama, screenings, readings, musical sessions
●      Outdoor activities- hillwalking, watersports, golf, cycletours, health activities

Attendance is limited to 150 delegates, in order to optimise opportunities to engage.

THOMAS D'ARCY MCGEE MEDAL

The Thomas D’Arcy McGee Medal is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to civil society in the Irish-Canadian sphere. 2018 will see the presentation of the inaugural medal.

About ICUF

Since 1995, the Ireland Canada University Foundation (ICUF), a Charitable Trust, has supported research exchange between Canada and Ireland. With funding from the governments of both countries, as well as corporate and philanthropic support, ICUF has provided research travel awards to over 400 Canadian and Irish researchers and scholars, with the mission of supporting the development of the rich network of connections between both countries.

The Fourm takes place over 3 days in Carlingford, Ireland. Less than 1 hour from Dublin Airport, Carlingford is in the northeast of Ireland, and is known for oysters, medieval buildings and outdoor activities.
